Webinars and Coaching Sessions are offered for small groups (up to 5) to support in problem-solving reading data or delving deeper into concerns of individual students. Consultants will support participants in moving through the problem-solving cycle to determine; the presenting problem, actions that have been attempted, analyzing data, and determining the next steps.
An 5-day comprehensive workshop series that covers all foundational elements of the science of reading. Participants will deepen their understanding of the essential elements of teaching reading as identified by the National Reading Panel and supported by current research (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension). In addition, participants will learn how to analyze reading data and use results to target reading instruction. Educators will participate in hands-on interactive activities that amplify knowledge of literacy strategies as well as understand how these strategies are easily incorporated with the work of cultural proficiency.
A “boots-on-the-ground” support system that provides direct, comprehensive coaching and professional development to classroom teachers to support research based literacy instruction strategies. Consultants work hand in hand with teachers to assist with lesson planning incorporating the components of the Big 5 (phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension) delivery of instruction, strategizing to connect all learners, data analysis and data analysis. In addition, the consultant will support teachers in making timely and intentional connections to equity and inclusion throughout the lesson. Equity should not be “one more thing” but, a natural flow that occurs throughout the instructional day.
