Racial Equity in the Classroom – 2020 Series

Educators most especially in the 21st century, plays a very big part in supporting students. As the students struggle to understand the contemporary manifestations of social inequality, historically racial discrimination, and the conflicting voices. Achieving the goal of racial equity, and removing cultural barriers, requires dedicated educators that uses effective tools to incorporate equity and inclusion in the school and in the classroom level, specifically.

Each session in this series of workshops is designed as a virtual 2-hour training day. The training day will have consultants that will serve as facilitators of learning to provide tools and activities that can be used in multiple environments. This series supports educators in the practical application of engaging in courageous and fruitful conversations and establishing Culturally Relevant Pedagogy that focuses on multiple aspects of student achievement and supports students to uphold their cultural identities.
